Gedeputeerden Bennema en Meeuwissen van de provincies Groningen en Drenthe en wethouder Rink van de gemeente Emmen hebben vandaag in Assen €14.927.479,42 subsidie uitgereikt aan het project SORTED, een consortium van veertien partijen onder leiding van stichting Sympany. De subsidie is toegekend door het Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland en komt uit het Europese Just Transition Fund (JTF), inclusief 6 miljoen euro cofinanciering vanuit het Ministerie van Economische Zaken.
