Together with partners we are helping to build a stronger ecosystem for 3D printing and 3D electronics in the Northern Netherlands. Through shared knowledge, joint innovation projects and access to specialized shared facilities we want to make these technologies more accessible and help develop them quicker.
In this project, a consortium of companies and knowledge institutions from the Northern Netherlands collaborates to develop, share, and disseminate expertise in the fields of 3D printing and 3D electronics. The project also supports SMEs in the region in increasing their knowledge and adoption of these technologies.
A key component of the project is the creation of a Virtual Shared Facility. Through this Virtual Shared Facility, participating organizations will be able to access each other's facilities and infrastructure for 3D metal printing, 3D polymer/composite printing, and 3D electronics.
The Virtual Shared Facility will be accessible to SMEs and educational institutions. Combined with joint knowledge development, knowledge sharing, and the realization of practical applications within these 3D manufacturing technologies, this initiative will significantly accelerate the adoption of these technologies. To ensure long-term collaboration, the partners intend to establish a regional community for the Northern Netherlands, fostering the development of a strong northern ecosystem.
The primary goal of this project is to elevate the level of knowledge and expertise in 3D printing and 3D electronics across the Northern Netherlands and to stimulate the creation of new innovative applications.
